Hi again, Grace,
You said, “You can look up ‘trans found in women’s bathroom/ trans found assaulting girl in bathroom’ etc.” That isn’t saying that a cis man was found in the women’s restroom impersonating a trans woman. It is saying that a trans person was found. Is it your assertion that trans men are somehow causing this trouble?
Another possible reason for my confusion would be that most people who promote the myth that cis men will/already do dress up as trans women just to gain access to women’s spaces for nefarious purposes are people who think that trans women are actually men, you can probably see how I made that error. In fact, as was the case in well-known anti-trans campaigns here in the states in Houston, Texas, and in North Carolina, there is little distinction made between whether it is cis men claiming to be trans women or actual trans women who are supposed to be the predators.
However, the ball is still in your court. If you make a claim that something happens, you will need to be the one to provide the documentation. You by documentation, I do not mean that someone reports that their friend’s friend had this happen, or even if one person makes the claim on social media that they experienced it. It will have to be from a reputable news source, since this kind of thing does not often pop up in peer-reviewed scientific articles.
These aren’t my rules; they are the rules of rhetorical persuasion dating back to Aristotle. Please provide proof to back up your claim.
