I came to that very conclusion last night. I was plotting out a novel and realized the only way I was going to get it done is to have a structure to follow. I have found most of my life that I can just sit down and start writing something, but that doesn’t work well for anything longer than a brief essay or short story. As tempted as I am to be a pantser, I’ve finally realized it is getting me nowhere.
