This is great, Leigh! I am glad that the comments section isn’t yet inundated with indignant TERF rhetoric.

Regarding Caster Semenya, someone on Medium last summer (a TERF, basically) commented that she didn’t think Semenya was a woman because she had a Y chromosome. She also claimed that Semenya had “male” gonads, which does not necessarily follow from having a Y chromosome. After she realized I was a trans woman myself, she went full-on anti-trans and told me how I’m not really a woman. She was a hoot!
